Downstairs hall
As marketed, looks nice and bright. You get a good impression of the depth of the building as you see through the hall, TV room and into the kitchen. Doors and door frames are the natural wood but it doesn't really look too good, lots of marks on the woodwork and the lounge door is rather warped!
As was
Okay, so it looks reasonable but it needs a good bit of decorating. and that laminate flooring needs to go, its cold, dark and noisy!
Decorating and fixing
Mostly decorating but one big problem was that the stairs at the wall side were becoming separated from their support. No's 5 and 10 were really bad, they moved down about 5mm when they were stepped on, and creaked a lot as well.
Finishing.
Lots of finishing to be done. New radiator, carpeting, box for the leccy stuff etc. It took a lot of work to get the skirting sorted after the laminate was removed but all worth it in the end.
