Main Bedroom
The main bedroom measures about 4.6m by 3.5m facing towards the northeast with a large dormer type window to the front and a smaller window on the left side on the gable wall end. As marketed, the bedroom looked "okay" but the layout of furniture looked strange and there was not a lot of detail to go on. Still, it wasn't a disaster and it looked like mostly decoration work would turn it around. However, more work than just decorating was needed.
As was.
This is what was purchased. The layout looked odd and was more for demonstration than practical. After the sparse furniture was removed, things started to look less encouraging.
Starting the work
On further inspection, it was clear that the room needed gutted. The skirting was poorly (with a bit missing where the hearth was), the papering was poor, paintwork poor. So back to bare walls and start afresh.
Papering and painting
With almost all of the major work done its time to start preparing for papering and decorating.
Ah... not what I had planned...
To be honest, I was really disappointed with "this" magnolia. It turned out much darker than expected. This has been used before extensively before by myself but this was not a good result... so time to change to a lighter colour for brightness.
Okay, that accepted...
So new colour accepted, its time to take it to conclusion. Carpet, new bed and the rest...
